Each year Marie Curie Cancer Foundation facilitates a 10k charity walk named “walk 10”, to raise money to support Marie Curie Nurses. This event is a 10k walk in and around the grounds of Stormont parliament buildings, where walkers are encouraged to complete the course and then become involved in the “festival like atmosphere”.  With entertainment from the U105 roadshow and fire poi artists, culminating in a fireworks display at 10pm to mark the start of the evening shifts worked by the Marie Curie workers.
Each walker is asked to fundraise £60, which is enough to pay for 3 hours of care.  5 staff members from CARD Group are taking part in this years event, hoping to raise at least enough money to pay for 15 hours of care for people with terminal illnesses and their families.
